Why self-pay?

Your investment with self-pay has many advantages. You choose the therapist and services that fit your needs and allows them to provide you with individualized services and more care and attention. Other advantages include:

  • Information is not shared with third parties, such as insurance companies. So that means your privacy and confidentiality are much more protected.

  • Stigma of diagnosis can be avoided.

  • Sliding scales can be offered to self-pay clients. This means that self-paying clients can actually pay less than those who pay with insurance.

  • Some insurance companies only cover a certain amount of time. Self-pay clients are able to choose the focus, duration, and frequency of therapy. You are even allowed to choose the length of session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens and sometimes you may not be able to attend a scheduled session. Please try to cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not attend a scheduled session or cancel 24 hours before your session, I will cancel future sessions until we are able to discuss options.

If you have a second no-show or late cancellation to our scheduled session time, you may be charged $75. Insurance will not reimburse for missed appointments.
